📺 Customer Facing Display (CFD) Settings Guide

The Customer Facing Display (CFD) is the screen your customers see while placing orders at your POS system. You can customize this screen to highlight your brand, play promotional videos, or balance between professionalism and customer engagement.

The Customer Facing Display (CFD) is the screen your customers see while placing orders at your POS system. You can customize this screen to highlight your brand, play promotional videos, or balance between professionalism and customer engagement.

Stackably offers three display modes:

  1. Company Logo & Name

  2. Video Screensaver

  3. Logo + Video After 15s


🚀 Getting Started

Accessing CFD Settings

  1. Go to Shop → Settings.

  2. Scroll down to the Customer Display Settings section.


🎨 Display Mode Options

1. 🏢 Company Logo & Name

  • Best for: Simple, professional branding

  • Displays your company logo and name (pulled from Shop Settings)

  • Clean design with no additional setup required

2. 🎥 Video Screensaver

  • Best for: Promotions and visual engagement

  • Plays your chosen video on a continuous loop

  • Great for menus, promotions, or brand storytelling

3. ⏱️ Logo + Video After 15s

  • Best for: Balanced professionalism and marketing

  • Shows logo and name by default

  • After 15 seconds of inactivity, switches to video screensaver

  • Returns to logo as soon as POS activity resumes


📹 Video Management

Uploading Videos

  1. Select either Video Screensaver or Logo + Video After 15s mode.

  2. Click Upload Video.

  3. Choose your file (MP4 recommended).

  4. Wait for upload to complete.

Supported Formats: MP4, WebM, MOV, AVI

Max File Size: 50MB

Recommended:

  • Duration: 30–120 seconds

  • Aspect Ratio: 16:9 (widescreen)

  • Resolution: 1920x1080 (Full HD)

Managing Your Videos

  • Select Active Video: Go to “Uploaded Videos,” then click Select.

  • Delete Video: Click the 🗑️ icon next to a video to remove it.


💬 Welcome Text Settings

  • Available in video modes only

  • By default, the screen shows:

    • “Welcome to [Your Business Name]”

    • Subtitle: “Your order will appear here shortly”

  • To hide text overlay:

    1. Check ☑️ Hide Welcome Text

    2. Save your settings


📋 Step-by-Step Setup Guide

  1. Choose Display Mode → Select Video Screensaver or Logo + Video After 15s

  2. Upload Video → File must be under 50MB (MP4 recommended)

  3. Select Video → Make it active from the Uploaded Videos list

  4. Configure Text (Optional) → Enable or disable Welcome Text

  5. Save Settings → Click Save POS Settings and wait for confirmation

  6. Test Your Display → View CFD screen to confirm changes


⚙️ Mode Behaviors

  • Logo Mode → Always shows logo + name (from Shop Settings); welcome text visible

  • Video Mode → Loops selected video; optional welcome overlay

  • Logo + Timer Mode → Shows logo for 15s, then video; returns to logo during POS activity

🔧 Troubleshooting

  • Video Not Playing?

    • Ensure format is MP4/WebM/MOV/AVI

    • Check file size (≤50MB)

    • Re-upload if needed

  • Settings Not Saving?

    • Confirm video is selected (green status)

    • Click Save POS Settings

    • Look for “Settings Saved” confirmation

  • Video Quality Issues?

    • Use 1080p Full HD

    • Avoid over-compressed files

  • Display Not Updating?

    • Wait up to 30s

    • Refresh CFD screen

    • Check internet connection
